About me

I am currently a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science in Palo Alto, CA.

Prior to Insight I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Neural Science and the Department of Psychology at New York University. I finished my Ph.D in neuroscience in 2013, working mostly in the Computational Neuroimaging Laboratory with David Heeger at NYU. My research primarily involved the computational analysis of vision and the interaction of visual information, eye movements, and perception. More broadly, I’m interested in the nature of cortical computation (at the level of functional models) with vision as a model system. I’m also interested in understanding the statistical structure of neural signals and in developing computational methods for the analysis of neural data.
